Are we crazy? Maybe. Matt and I just signed up for the Bataan Memorial Death March, which is a 20-mile march up in Brainerd to commemorate those who actually lived through it (and those who died doing it). There is also the option of marching with a 35 lb. pack, but I think we will take part in the "light division" this year, and train to carry packs next year.
So this leaves us with three weeks to train for the walk, which is on May 19th. Today I walked for close to an hour at lunch carrying a 15 lb. pack. Even if I don't carry a pack, training with one will probably help. One nice thing is this will force me out in the nice weather a little more.
