My friend Kari and I went backpacking on Friday night to a cute little cabin overlooking a lake with beavers. It was incredible! It was a little cool, but at least it was dry. It was great being outdoors again. The beavers were friendly and curious - the male even swam up close to the shore to check us out.
It looks like there is a goose nest on top of this beaver den. You can also see our cabin in the background.
