David's Birthday Wishlist

I have been asked what David wants for his birthday already.
Well, here it is:

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!!!

Yes, that's what David loves - basically anything with wheels. You could get him a 97 cent Matchbox car and make him the happiest kid in the world. He also loves tractors and trucks, so anything John Deere, Tonka, or Caterpillar is good. Especially when it comes to small stuff, like Matchbox cars, don't worry about getting something he already has. He can never have enough cars, especially when we try to keep some in the
diaper bag, some in the car, some in his suitcase and some at home.

Other Ideas
You could also consider getting him something sporty or outdoorsy. He doesn't have a baseball and bat yet, so a little kids one would be fun. A kids soccer ball wouldn't be a bad idea. He doesn't have a toolkit yet. Books are always good.

What NOT to Get
Please do not get him any stuffed toys. He really doesn't care for them, and they already take up an entire corner of his room. Matt and I are also against motorized vehicles for kids - he can use pedals like we did when we were little. Just make sure to watch the ages - 3+ is good, but some small cars are actually 8+. The 8+ cars break easily.

Clothes
Clothes can be tricky. For shirts, don't get anything smaller than a 3T. Also he is very long, so sort of look for clothes that look long, not wide. For pants, he is wearing 24-months or 2Ts. They are the tricky item. I usually have to have David with and hold the pants up to him. He is skinny, so he probably doesn't need as big a size if you get shorts. If in doubt, just get him shirts and we'll buy him pants/shorts. Probably about a fourth of his clothes last year he didn't wear because they were the wrong size in the wrong season.

Hope this helps!
