It hurts to say goodbye so soon, but Jana and Tricia have to get back to Colorado. It has been a long trip, not in length, but in trouble and energy. Once they made it to Minnesota, Tricia's car broke down - and was unfixable. So they spent most of the trip worrying about where they would get another vehicle to drive back to Colorado before Jana has to be at work this Saturday morning. Thankfully, Tricia purchased a Ford Explorer this afternoon, and they took off this evening. They are making a quick stop at our grandparent's house in southern Minnesota tonight and hope to retrieve gas from Tricia's old car before embarking on their 16-hour journey tomorrow.
Tonight was fun. David was at Grandpa and Grandma Karlson's for the day, and I joined them after work this afternoon. We had a good time and even managed to get a family picture before they left. David enjoyed having them around, and now he will know whom we are talking about when I mention my Colorado sisters.
