Sensitivity to violence

So I had the TV on the other day, and it was an adult action/drama-type show. David doesn't usually pay attention to regular TV shows, and he wasn't at that time either. But then there was some shouting and running and a lot of action, so David turned his head toward the TV. About 2 seconds later someone was shot, and David screamed. It wasn't a short startled scream, but rather a high drawn out, sort of angry scream. Here I thought he was too young to notice adult-content on television. Obviously violence can be harmful at any age.

Walking Around
This weekend was a big transition for our little David. It has been a month since he took his first steps, and now David finally prefers walking over crawling. Yesterday he hardly crawled at all, except in the kitchen. He wants to walk in the kitchen, but we have very slippery — and very hard — tile on which we don't want him to fall. He doesn't quite understand why we encourage him to walk in the living room and discourage it in the kitchen. It has been amazing to see him improve so much just in the last few days.
