Well, sort of. It was actually a walk-in site. We wanted to introduce him to backpacking without having to go too far. This was convenient, and we still had the effect (no campers within a mile of us).
Was I ever glad we didn't bring our good backpacking tent. David was treating it like a bounce house - literally bouncing off the sides of the tent.

David also discovered flashlights. He loved it!

Marshmallows - good breakfast treat.It was a great camping experience for all of us, especially David. Hopefully we can get him out at least one more time this summer - in between our real backpacking adventures.
